Scope Solutions’ founder’s father was born in northern Italy, and he immigrated to Australia in 1956 with his parents when he was nearly 18 years old. He met his future wife in Brisbane (Meanjin: meaning ‘place shaped like a spike’). They were married approximately five years after meeting and had three children (one son and two daughters).
Scope Solutions’ founder’s mother has a recorded history of being a First Nations person of Australia. Her eldest daughter (the founder of Scope Solutions) was raised in Meanjin (Turrbal) and on the Gold Coast (Kombumerri). She is a direct bloodline descendant of Kawae Kawae of the Logan and the Pimpama (Gugingin), and is a direct bloodline descendant of the Williams family from the Scenic Rim (Mununjali/Wanjerriburra – Yugambeh) and Currie family (Meanjin and Yugambeh).
She is proud to acknowledge that one of her great forefathers was Bilin Bilin (also known as King Jackey Jackey, Jack/John Logan, Kawae Kawae, Bilinba). Bilin Bilin was a young man when Captain Logan first arrived on our shores, and Bilin Bilin was (and still is) recognized as a wise leader of his people, especially along the Logan River and the Pimpama River.
Bilin Bilin and his wife Nellie from Ipswich (Jagera/Ugarapul/Yuggera) had a daughter named Emily Logan, and Emily married William Williams. William and Emily lived in and around Beaudesert and Kooralbyn and were highly respected leaders in their community.
It is well documented that Bilin Bilin’s diplomacy was paramount to the survival of his descendants who continue to live in and around Danggan Balun (Five Rivers), including Tweed Heads, the Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim, Logan, Ipswich and Brisbane.
